We had dinner twice at this place and we enjoyed the food. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. We definetely recommend this restaurant even though I think the 'pudim de leite' could be more traditional like brazilians do.

So good honestly. It is a local Brazilian restaurant serving up local cuisine and the flavors are incredible. Add on top the service, outside seating right by the beach, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend if looking for a nice, local meal.

We had a spectacular meal at Mondego’s. We had tomato soup, Caprese salad, and Shrimp with spaghetti in olive oil. The shrimp dish was incredible, both the presentation and flavor. Wish I had taken a picture. Best shrimp dish we’ve had in the last two years while living in Mexico and traveling through S.America. Kind and attentive service as well. We dined inside because it was still 90 degrees outside at 7pm.

We’re from Florida but my wife is Brazilian. This was our 2nd trip to Copacabana and our lunch here was awesome. She had the Espetinho special R$69 for x2 skewers w/ rice, beans and a little lettuce/tomato. I had the Grilled Filet Mignon R$109 which came with Pasta Pomodoro. For any Italian or American familiar with Pomodoro. This was not even close but it was still a good flavorful pasta. Also I did not expect that I was going to get a 16oz Filet. At first I thought I was brought a different cut but it was so big they butterflied it. Brazil doesn’t typically take temps for steaks and traditionally come medium to medium-well but it has a wonderful light char grill on the outside. We both enjoyed our lunch very much.

On our trip to Brazil this place was one of the highlights. This restaurant is just across of Copacabana Beach. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly servers add to the experience. Food is delicious and what is important if you speak only English the whole menu has an English translation. We had pasta, pizza, sandwiches, desserts and all were delicious and affordable. If you come to Copacabana beach this is where you eat.

This restaurant offers a wide range of items on their menu, from traditional Brazilian food to pizza to salads. The price is very competitive when compared to other places around the area. The ambiance is okay. The service is great. The waiters are very efficient and helpful but not very friendly. All in all, I would recommend this place for anyone looking to explore food options in Copacabana Beach.
